My car will be running fine then all of a sudden, it seems to lose some power and starts to run sluggishly. I'll look at my dashboard and though I'm actually driving...the D isn't lit up anymore. Usually after a few minutes, my car will lurch slightly, the car will suddenly run smoother, and the D will light up again. It doesn't happen all the time either. Any idea what might be happening?

Is your "check engine" light on? It sounds like you may have a problem with the gear select switch on your 2001 Honda CR-V. If indeed there is a fault with the gear select switch the check engine light should come on and a fault codes will be set in the transmission control module. I would suggest you have the computer system on your CR-V scanned for fault codes by a qualified technician.
