Question: pontic keeps getting stuck in park and the ignition won't turn off

what is my problem that my ignition won't turn on or off sometimes?

    My '95 was doing the same think, if you have a column gear shift, the rubber around the lever you push to switch gears is sticking causing the car to think it is NOT in park so the key can not be removed. Play with the rubber over the lever (you can feel through it) try sliding it around and your key should come out
