  I have found THE auto repair shop for my family. Performance Auto Care in Fremont was a referral from an auto body shop I have used before. They send all of their mechanical works to Performance Auto Care. I found true to their claim, a “Complete Auto Care Facility”. My first impression is the cleanliness of the shop and the amount of equipment from lifts to alignment and SMOG stations. This is NOT your local gas station turned repair business.

  Friendly staff but mostly you will be dealing directly with Bud Koga, the owner of the shop. Bud will take time listen to you and then will give you an ideal on how he would be diagnosing the problem. Once the problem is found, Bud will call and explain in detail the parts needed and the cost of repair. So different than the typical dealership or larger business that you would be talking to the order taker, who then talks with the service manager, who talks with then mechanic and the parts guy … in trying to understand what they are doing with your car. I am most impressed is Bud’s knowledge in auto repair and his willingness to explain what is needed in terms that I would understand.

  I found his pricing to be very reasonable. He would say what repair is needed now and what could be deferred instead of maximizing the repair order. I have had excellent turn around time with my auto repairs. Bud would make sure the work is done as quickly as possible and not accept work just to drag out the repair.

  Since I can’t give Performance Auto Care a rating of six (6) stars out of the maximum of five, I have referred my friends to Bud’s for auto repair. So far I have heard back nothing but praises. In my humble opinion, Bud Koga’s Performance Auto Care in Fremont is an excellent place to take care of your car.
