I just purchased a 2006 Town and Country and was wandering if anyone nows what perform maintenance means? I see this in the electrical display where is shows the direction and how many miles you have left before empty? Also, the rear door hatch wont open automatically. It has to be opened with a key. All this started at the same time so I don't know if it is related.

    I doubt that the two issues you describe with your 2006 Chrysler Town & Country are related. The "perform maintenance" message is simply reminding you that the next scheduled maintenance may be due. The system may or may not have been reset correctly last time service work was completed. You should determine what service is due based on total odometer mileage. Once you have whatever service due completed the maintenance reminder can be reset. Once reset the reminder will again display its message the next time routine service is due. The rear hatch may have an issue with a electric actuator or a wiring issue that is causing the loss of automatic lock operation. The lock system in the rear hatch should be inspected to find the exact cause of the problem.
