I have a '96 S-10 and cant find my PCV valve either, but my engine is a 2.2 L4. After much searching on the net I have found that some '96's didnt come with PCV valves. To those that answered "its in the valve cover" dont answer unless you know "100%" that it is. and YES its true that some cars were made without PCV valves by design.

Thank you for that information. I suspected that there wasn't a PCV valve on my 1996 2.2 L4 S-10.
