I just had seat detailing (cleaning) done today, and while driving back home, the warning light came on that says the passenger air bag is disabled; for no apparent reason. I did some research, and see that there was a recall in 2007 related to some aftermarket leather seat covers somehow caused that same problem in a few cars. Anyone have any ideas on what could have causd my problem or how to get it fixed?

Interesting recall! It looks to involve very few vehicles - only one 2005 Buick Lacross. You can check with you local GM dealer to see if you are the one. I would recommend to have the fault code(s) stored in the air bag control module read. Any stored codes should be diagnosed and repaired. When all airbag systems are working to manufactures specs the warning lights should again begin functioning correctly.

The air bag light sometimes comes on when the passenger seatbelt is distrubed or if the connection gets loose or dirty.
