Question: Parking lights won't turn off

in the off position the parking lights won't go off and the car beeps with door open,close door beeping stops, but parking lights still on... turn to auto and beeping stops, but p.l. still on... pulled fuse to turn off lights, but now no parking/tail lights... what's the problem??? would new light switch worked?? Please advise...

    I see the headlight switches run about $110 and the labor to remove and replace is is about .5 to .9 of an hour, this is probably the problem but can't be sure without testing it with a meter
