Question: Parking Brake Stuck

 Rookie

The parking brake foot pedal is stuck. It is all the way to the floor and will not release. Is there a pin or something on the ratchet that I can push out to release it? Or can I disconnect the cable so I can move the car?

  My son car was fine earlier in the day. later that day he went to go somewhere and the car wouldn't come out of park.

• automatic will not shift out of park
  I noticed a little difficulty and shift handle getting stuck but then it would move into reverse..Now my car is sitting at the store and I cannot get it into gear. Starts fine..Any suggestions?
