1995 Lincoln Town Car

Difficult to know why it won't start - have to check to see if there is spark or fuel missing when this happens.
It could be a very intermittent failure of the fuel pump relay or processor relay.

Our '95 Lincoln started doing that and it drives you crazy fooling with trying to find
what it is. I noticed the fuel pump still hums when I turn the car on, (but it still
won't start), but when you turn it over there's no spark. You can check everything on
the ignition system and it will be perfect. Tell you what I've found. Our Lincoln has
320K on it and still, about once a month, you go to start it and it just cranks over.
With ours if you clean your battery terminals like new,(I mean really clean), it helps,
(Especially that little terminal on the side of the fuse box by the battery- the one
with the little red rubber boot on it), and it won't do it near as often.
Also if you're stranded and must get the car going, (as opposed to waiting the 20 min.
it usually takes for it to start again), sit there and turn your ignition key ON- OFF,
ON-OFF, ON-OFF, about 10 or 12 times and then it will start right up. I think its a
contact inside the Engine Computer that acts up. Haven't changed mine yet. They are
