the code p0420 comes on on my 2006 ford taurus, I have been told there is a test to find out which one if any of the converters are bad. how do you do the test?

   Master

  on the Taurus,it is a mute point as both converters are together and are not replaced separately. if one is bad, both have to be replaced.
  the test is done by graphing the o2 readings comparing the front to the back.

  thats not true i have a 2000 ford taurus and got the converter under the car from the flex pipe to the other joint replaced but i did not get the one beside the engine replaced
