p0406 code 3.8 grand caravan on 2005 Dodge Grand Caravan

code says a circuit is high. Is this an electrical problem from egr seliniod to valve or is the valve needing cleaning or replacement? Or is there just a vacume leak somewhere that i'm missing.

I believe that this is an EGR code for a malfunction in the EGR valve position sensor reading. What I do is check the position of the valve versus what the sensor is saying. Most times I have had to replace the whole valve, which includes the sensor as well.

Thank you very much. From the info I've gathered it sounds like a common problem with Dodge. Is there anything I can do to prevent this from happening again. Such as a better quality sensor or valve or filter screen before the valve. I really do appreciate the info and you takeing time to respond.
