1999 Toyota Camry

Question: P0401 code in PCM. have changed EGR valve and modulator. MIL lights again.

Have a scanner available. have not changed EGR solenoid but have in hand. Is MAP sensor suspect?

    no, in most cases, the egr transducer is the failure. you also need to make sure the tube is squeeky clean. carbon is a big issue with these engines.

    Had the same code some time ago, changed EGR Valve but MIL came back. Then changed EGR Solenoid - this solved the problem.
