Car is very difficult to start in morning. When putting key in, speedometer engages and makes a ticking sound. Turns over or tries to on 7th or 8th try then fully turns over, next time you start the car it is fine. Is it a battery issue or possible electrical issue?

Well, if it were a battery problem, it would not crank at all. The more you try it the worse the battery would get! This is something that needs to be checked out hands on by a mechanic, may have to leave the car with the repair shop a couple days so a mechanic can do some testing while the engine is cold. Once it is starts cranking ok, problem can't be/difficult to be found.
