2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee Question: Overheating. does not have a fan relay switch. was told it needs a power

 Rookie

steering driven fan and it will cost $1500 does this sound right? I just want to make sure I'm paying for what I actually need. Thanks for your help.

    Yes, it does have a cooling fan relay!! It is hidden under the passenger side headlight, why, i do not know! There is an easier way to change it than the repair manuals state. I have done it both ways. I will let you know what to do in a few. Got to go eat supper now!
    Ok, instead of a bunch of typing here, just google: replacing fan relay on 2002 jeep grand cherokee and watch the youtube video!! Save you some money in the process!!!!!!! Now you may not be able to do this but i bet you know someone that can. This is a very common problem on this vehicle.
