1994 Chevrolet Corsica Q&A

1994 Chevrolet Corsica Question: overheating

First it was my power steering fluid, i had to replace every few days. Then the check engine light would come on after 15 min or more of driving. bt no other bad signs until i started noticing smoke.so i figured i needed some water. right after now its running hot til the point it shut off on me tonight. i took it to auto zone and the man said maybe it had a seal where i put the water and i cracked it. what could be the problem. please help i really need my car -
Answer 1
When you need wiper blades you go to Autozone, when you have a problem with your car you go to a repair shop. ; ) If someone sells parts it doesn't mean he has the slightest clue about repairs, otherwise all pharmacist would be doctors. If it keeps overheating and shutting off there might be a blown head gasket. You really need to get it to a REPAIR SHOP to have it diagnosed. There are many good mechanics in NC who can check it for you. If you keep driving in this condition you might create a bigger, more expensive problem. Zee -

Our corsica says its overheating from what the thermostat gauge says. We can find no problem to it, as the engine does not even...
Why or what would cause my cooling system to not flow with the thermostat removed..(yes i have a blown head gasket) but that wouldnt cause it right?
A coolant leak may develop from the water pump. The engine may overheat as a result of the coolant loss. A leaking water pump should be replaced.
