1991 Toyota MR2 Question: ORANGE OIL LIGHT STAYS ON

WHEN I START MY MR2 THE IGNITION LIGHTS GO OUT INCLUDING THE RED OIL LIGHT SYMBOL AFTER A FEW SECONDS A ORANGE OIL LIGHT SYMBOL COMES ON THE HANDBOOK SAYS TO CHECK OIL LEVEL OIL LEVEL IS OK AS ARE ALL FLUIDS

    If the orange oil level light is on but the engine oil level is OK it is likely to be a defective oil level sensor in the engine oil pan but get this checked out. All cars should have a low oil level light. The older Toyota Previa's had an oil reserve tank that used to automatically top up the engine oil level, what a great idea.
