Question: one season with no air

my car says the air compressor is off and low coolant at the same time. the econ button blowns air but not cold.

    ac is off due to low freon. take it to a shop and have them find the leak, repair and re set the dash.

    The ECON button is blowing outside air only. This is proper. You can recharge your own A/C unit with three cans of R-134 and a charging hose (cost is around $40.00)
    You will have to disconnect your positive battery cable and wait 60 seconds before reconnecting. This will allow the "low refrigerant" fault to reset for about 60 seconds. At that time you can start recharging your system. Once one can is in, the alarm will not come on.
    Keep your cool! This is an easy fix!
