2003 Volkswagen Passat Question: on the rear brakes how does the caloper go back does it twist or do you compress

 Rookie

i loosened the bleeder but it didnt move at all even when i put a c clamp on it

    If the parking brake cable is attached to the caliper, then that means that you will have to rotate the caliper piston in order to release it back to the piston bore.
    They usually rotate clockwise, I have a special tool for this, because it can take a lot of force to get the piston going, but I have improvised on some occasions with success.
