What is so difficult about a oil tube for dipstick replacement? A shop in my area wants 500 dollars to do this job. Can this job be done from topside or why would you have to pull the oil pan? Thank you for your service.

I am not really sure why this is so difficult. how about getting a second opinion from another shop? Good Luck! (No shop should charge just for an estimate on this job)

Even if the exhaust manifold has to be removed, (which is not a big deal I was Ford Dealership Tech ) $500 is a lot. I would still get a second opinion.
