Valves star taping real loud. Oil pump stops pumping oil to head. Dealer says oil pump OK. is there a sensor that has anything to do with pumping?

How can the oil pump be OK if there is no oil going to the head? This is not a critique of you but of what the dealer just said, this makes no sense.
I would do a manual oil pressure test and go from there, at idle you need at least 10-15 psi, and around 40 psi at 2000 rpm.
This is where I would start.

we are a different 2007 Aspen owner with this same issue. We have no problems with the check oil light coming on until we reach a certain rpm..around 4-500 and that's intermittent at best. this problem only occurs after an oil change.. it's happened twice and we've owned the vehicle for 3.5 years. we've only noticed this twice and there is a funny ticking noise.. again.. that's only happened twice too.
