I have a V10 engine and no oil pressure and when I take off the oil filter off to see if there is oil coming out when I start it, there is none. The oil pump must have gone out. But the dealer parts says it is a oil pump rotor pkg. Where do I start and how do I do it.

There is a company that independent auto repair shops "buy" their information from that offer a very reasonable service to do it yourselvers. You get a one year subscription to year make and model specific repair procedures, service bulletins, component locations, wiring diagrams ect.... great quality information same as the professionals have ,much better than generic workshop manuals from parts stores, much cheaper than the factory manual. http://www.alldatadiy.com/ I would also look at www.rockauto.com see what oil pumps they have available. Did you switch off the engione in time? You should check the rod and main bearings for damage.
