oil pump on 1997 Chevrolet Malibu

since i have cleaned the bottom of oil pain I SEE OIL LEAKING FROM IN BETWEEN THE ALUMIUM COVER OF THE OIL PUMP HOUSING MAYBE THE GASKET BETWEEN THE BLOCK AND THE OIL PUMP HAS LOST IT SEAL

the oil light comes on and the temp gauge goes about half way. Checked the oil level and it is fine. What could be the problem?
i just changed my oil and oil filter and it only got worse
128,000 miles. Problem started a couple days ago. It just got out of the job for leaking coolant. The water pump was replaced. Currently not driveable.
Car was running fine then all of a sudden oil light came on and car shut off instantly when I start it it makes a god awful clatter noise .
