2004 Chevrolet Monte Carlo Question: oil pressure going up when you hit the gas

 Rookie

the oil pressure is fine when idling. but when you hit the gas the pressure goes up. what causes this? i just changed oil & filter

    THIS IS A NORMAL CONDITION AS LONG AS THE GUAGE ISNT SPIKING TOO HIGH. YOU MAY ASLO HAVE AN ACTIVE GUAGE CONDITION. YOU CAN TAKE IT TO A RECOMMENDED REPAIR SHOP AND HAVE AN OIL PRESSURE TEST PERFORMED JUST TO MAKE SURE THE PRESSURE IS IN SPEC.
