Oil Pressure gauge pegs at high...no red lights accompany it...what is wrong? on 2006 Nissan Xterra

No other indications there is an issue. No idiot lights, no strange sounds with the motor, no loss of power...seems to be the gauge

Unhook oil pressure switch (sending unit) to see if the gauge reads 0 with key on. If so replace the pressure switch.
