I have a 1998 Ford Explorer XLT AWD v8 5.0 motor. Heard that a possible solution is to replace the oil pressure sending unit. If so, where is it located on the truck? ty

    Yes, an oil pressure sending unit is a logical thing to suspect. The oil pressure sending unit is right above the oil filter. I had to remove the filter in order to get at the sender on the last 5.0 Mustang.
