1992 Ford Escort Q&A
1992 Ford Escort Question: Oil plug
Well im doing a oil change on my gf car and i cant find the oil drain plug.. Also what would cause the engine to over heat and loose all power to the accessories? - Visitor
The drain plug is on the oil pan. I can't think of a better way to explain it. The oil pan extends from the bottom of the engine block, then the drain plug is threaded into it. Have you checked to see if your serpentine belt has broken? If so, you would lose steering, charging and water pump function. - DaveJHM
Plug not firing replaced it, checked all fuel lines, bypassed fuel purge valve and fuel canister. No oil in water or water in oil so head not cracked. Could it be a burnt valve or the valve seat.
