1996 Toyota Camry Q&A
1996 Toyota Camry Question: oil pan gasket

It is common for the distributor O-Ring to leak and or the valve cover gasket to leak (ensure the valve cover bolts are tight). Oil leaks down and may appear like the oil pan gasket is leaking. Camshaft seals, crank seal and oil pump seal also leak inside the timing cover so make sure you isolate the correct source of the oil leak. The oil pan uses sealer and not a gasket from the factory. Felpro may make a gasket. - patrick mannion
