oil pan on 1996 Chevrolet S10

ive taken all 10 bolts out of oil pan do i need to loosen the timing belt cover to get the oil pan to drop down icant get it to drop down i need to do this to change the oil pump

You may try gently tapping on the oil pan because there may be some gasket sealant holding on to it. BUT, make SURE that all bolts are removed!! Good Luck!
