I have the same issue with mine. I recently bought it and when I checked it out I noticed evidence of oil running down the filter. I just replaced the oil and filter for the first time (the Fram has a narrower gasket) and it still leaks. I sinched a little tighter with the oil filter wrench but that didn't help. It's definately leaking at the filter not the adapter mount.

  • The adaptor was over machined with the ID of the filter contact surface too large. when the filter is installed the fileter gasket sits only half way sealing surface.

have not repaired yet, will most likely replace the adaptor with one that was correctly machined.
