First order of business. Check your engine oil level, vehicle on a level surface. If the oil level is ok the oil pressure sending unit is most likely defective and is a common failure. To be on the safe side, it is advised that you have a qualified technician check the engines actual oil pressure with the proper test equipment.

Where is the oil pressure sending unit located? Think I need to replace the unit. Oil light comes on at idle when engine is warm.
