Engine oil leaks are common from the valve cover gaskets and camshaft chain tensioner gasket.

I have the same issue. I will never buy another audi! Or, recommend it to another person. The paint is pealing inside the care trim.... junk. -
Replaced valve cover gaskets but I think still leaking from camshaft tensioner.make damn sure valve cover gasket mating surfaces are clean as a whistle before installing them especially where "v" shaped part of gasket sits.rtv sealent is a must have for that spot. -
leaking chain tensioner gasket and end pug. repaced -
It is a consistent problem after replacement of a new valve cover gasket. I have replaced it two times. -
oil leak from camshaft chain tensioner. Not yet repaired service shop wants 1500 hundred for the one labour. Timing belt cover pulled back at the top of the engine we could see oil on the belt.thanks Bob Milne -

I have a leaking valve cover and a broken crankcase pipe (which runs off the back of the valve cover and along the side of the engine to the oil filter assembly) on a 2005 A4 1.8T? I'm also having the timing belt changed (63000 miles). -
