Question: Oil Leaks from area above oil filter

Oil leaks from area above oil filter,can not locate the source of the leak. Is there an oil hose in that area or what is the probable cause.

    Yes I believe there is an oil cooler between the engine block and the oil filter base.There is a large o-ring that has probably got hard and not sealing.
