1998 Volkswagen Cabrio Question: oil leak from oil cooler

 Rookie

i have a oil leak from the top of my oil cooler and want to know do it have a seal or oil that can change and if yes how do i get to it to change it

    If the oil cooler is leaking then first check the hoses and any hose clamps that secure the hoses. I would spray off the area with some brake clean and then run the engine to make sure that the hoses are not the source of the leak. If the hoses and clamps are good and if the cooler it self is leaking, then a new cooler is in order. I don't recommend stop leak, because that is a band aid at best and can cause other issues.
