 Rookie

I have had the gasket replaced but still have an oil leak from my oil filter area. How come?

  Did you take the car to the shop to address this specific leak/this specific problem?

  If so, then they clearly did not complete the repair properly or did not find what was wrong. I would return the car to the shop to have them complete the repair. The leak could be happening for a variety of reasons.

  Most likely the oil filter housing to block gasket is what is actually leaking not the oil filter seal.
