2006 Buick LaCrosse Q&A
2006 Buick LaCrosse Question: Oil leak
Your engine uses a timing chain, there isn't a camshaft seal per say at the camshaft sprocket side of the engine. Oil seals fail over time and get brittle or the lip of the seal just wears. A build up of crankcase pressure due to a restricted PCV valve could cause seal failure but most likely just a fatigued seal or gasket is causing your leak. - patrick mannion
low oil light (chime) comes on when hot and at idle doesn't happen when cold or going down road. oil has been changed w filter. no leaks or unusual noises. thinking maybe running a quart of dextron...
When I got my oil changed they said I had a power steering leak. It would be 350-400 to fix....
No coolant leaking. What else could it be? Where is the Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor located?
