Question: Oil in spark plug cavity, but not inside the motor,do I have a cracked head

 Rookie

Car was sputtering so I checked spark plugs, when I pulled of the wire on plug #1 the hole where the plug and wire go was full of oil. Does thus mean I have a cracked head

    NO POSSIBLE VALVE COVER GASKET AND O RINGS IN DEEP CYL WELLS WHERE PLUGS GO

    No you do not. The valve gaskets may have cracked and failed and need replaced but this is not related to the head gasket.
