what does it mean when the oil filter light comes. it just came once, but it is not ready for a oil change.

    There isn't an oil filter light but there is a low oil pressure light, the engine may be critically low in oil.

    On your vehicle, there is an option to set up the maintenance which can let you set up oil, oil filter, tire rotation..If your mileages are set up differently or not all reset, then you can see the reminder come up a little early. You need to reset them all at the same time. I know this because I also own an altima 08 and I happen to be a technician as well.
