Diesel Oil Filter

The Diesel oil filter removes contaminants from the engine oil before it circulates throughout the engine. Diesel oil filters are commonly larger than their gas engine counterparts because of the increased contaminates generated by a Diesel engine.

Symptoms of Wear or Failure

  • Abnormal knocking noise from engine
  • Engine oil leak

Related Repair Advice

  • The oil filter should always be replaced when the engine oil is changed
  • We recommend using a high-quality engine oil filter. Inexpensive oil filters do not have the filtering capacity of a quality filter and may not properly keep contaminants out of the engine.
