Question: Oil & Filter Change

 Rookie

If I drive this car less than about 800 a year (for the last couple of years), how often should I change the engine oil and filter—twice a year? once a year? every 3,000 miles? The car is 16 years old and has 122,000 miles on it. Runs perfect.

  It's good to have it changed every 6 months, that way you can get the vehicle inspected twice a year too. You may not be driving far but the stop and go, hilly driving in the city will wear the brakes and oil much quicker.
