My truck have 137,000 miles on it. I change my oil every 2000 miles. I just saw article about oil changes and it said, newer car you shouldn't change the oil that much, you are hurting the engine. Is that true and if so,why! My truck does not burn oil, or leaking any oil.And it run great. Thanks!

Every 2,000 mi. is to often, each time the oil is drained and the filter is changed, after refill the engine starts without any oil pressure for a few seconds! Check in the owners manual, the people who built it knows how often it needs to be serviced, regardless of what else you are told! I have an older corolla 250,000 on the eng. I 'try' to change oil and filter every 4,000 mi. since i have owned it, for 19 years! Always use top quality 'conventional' oil and, I like NAPA gold line, which is WIX filters! Many others to choose from though. All of this is just MY opinion I may be wrong! It has worked for me for a very long time. (Like that 243?)
