 Rookie

every time I change oil the change oil light comes on about a week later. I have been using Mobil 1 5w30.

  As you have found out, your change oil light does not mysteriously reset itself when you change the oil. The oil light must be manualy reset. The instructions on how to reset the change oil light and a description of how the engine oil life monitor works should be in your owners manual.
