having trouble getting the bolt out of the oil pan to change oil. is ther a trick to this? this is the first time i have tried to change the oil.

    If you are having trouble perhaps the last person to change the oil "cross threaded" or damaged the oil pan drain plug. It opens counterclockwise but if you get it out and cannot get it to seal afterward you are in more trouble. Perhaps bringing it to a quick lube place is a better option.
