2003 Nissan Maxima Question: oil and rattling noise

My car seems to eat oil periodically, Sometimes a quart every two weeks somtimes a quart every month and even every two months....it also makes a rattling noise when you accelerate.... -

probably not eating it so much as leaking it. check the oil cooler area that is in back of the oil filter. or the oil pan area -
