My Odometer isn't working,It just stopped turning about a month ago. Is there a fuse to the old type rotary Odometers?
Also the Odometer mileage numbers has misaligned themselves (not straight) What causes this to happen?

this happens when the gears that drive the odometer strip.
this is caused by resetting the odometer while the car is
moving. a good local speedo shop can remove the speedo head and repair it for you. expect to pay about $200.

Thank you for your reply... very helpful. A "Speedo Shop" ?? doesn't sound like their very common, I never heard of such a place. What would I search under? I sure would like to avoid a Mercedes Benz Dealer Service Department cause that sounds exspensive. BUT $200 I can handle.

speedometer repair shop in the old yellow pages. MB dealers will replace that unit with a brand spanking new one; they do not offer to repair anything.
