1998 Chevrolet S10 Question: occasional clunking sound in front right

Question

Visitor, 2.2L 4 Cylinder, Lyons, NY, October 12, 2010, 10:11

What would cause the occasional clunking sound I hear when I hit a bump in the road. It is coming from the right front area. Sometimes it goes away completely, other times it is continuous when hitting bumps in road. A friend said it might be a rusty spring.

Different things can cause this. Take it to a repair shop and get it checked. They will probably check it for free and give you an estimate also.
