you can drive car it runs fine, then you let it cool off it tries to start but will not,next time it may fire up and miss a lttle then smooth out,but like right now it want start .i checked fuel pump pressure its fine,it is firing,injectors are noiding,plugs are fuel soaked,i have read that their are several recalls on this car for the crank sensor and cam sensor,and to reprogram the computer can anyone tell me were the crank sensor is the repair manual is wrong.2002 altima 2.5s. the temp were i live is around 68 degrees

It does sound like the crank angle sensor is possibly the problem , there is a recall. I looked at a manual and you are right it is confusing, I have conflicting information. One picture shows it at the rear of the engine (underneath the intake manifold near transmission and block flange low down near the oil pan.The other picture shows it low down near the oil pan /engine block/transmission flange. Its a black sensor with a push on two wire connector secured with one bolt (either a 10mm head or 6mm allen key bolt).
