noise when turning wheel to the right on 2005 Ford Freestyle

When I'm driving my 2005 freestyle and turn to the right it makes a whining noise. Could it be the tires?

You might want to look at the tie rods or CV joints

Whining noises usually are typically caused by a failing PS pump, but you stated that it occurs only when turning to the right. Does it still make the noise when not moving? A left side wheel bearing could make noise when driving and turning to the right due to the weight transfer.
