Question: Noise from rear end, left side mostly-sounds like I am dragging chain

Rookie

Have had mechanic check out problem.. wheel bearings good, brakes good- suspension checks out fine. Noise from rear end has been off and on for the last three weeks. Brand new tires. Any ideas on what could be making the intermittent noise?

The car is front wheel drive, not a lot at the back end of the car. Not a lot apart from wheel bearings or shocks to make a noise. Have you examined the exhaust to see if any mounts are broke or the exhaust is contacting a heat shield? Should not be complex to figure out. Get a second opinion.
