i was told possibly just a sylenoid in trany any help out there dont want to replace trany if i dont have to
no third gear first & second strong when i shift manualy third is like neutural on 1997 Ford F-150

Hope not, but try someplace like AAMCO for free dig and estimate. Then make the decision.

Done them for years, now I have to think hard to remember when one shows up for work, keep looking for the sensors. :-)
