will not start smells like gas and there is gas in the oil.
Failed fuel pump, replaced, worked for two days. Turned off, no restart.. All fuses, checked twice by ASE certified mechanic, initially unable to communicate error, then u 1401 error. Changed computer module, had flashed still no start still getting error, exchanged fuel pump, will crank no start.. Changed battery, cleaned all grounds, checked with 2nd scanner same error.. The instrument panel hasn't worked in 2 years.. Is well maintained, recently did tie rods and bearings... The check engine light has been on since the instrument panel went wonky... Been checked on scanner and issues addressed and cleared, always reappears.. One cigarette lighter is fused..the other the fuse is good and it is working, have checked all relays, all fuses.. My mechanic currently hates or loves me depends on how you look at it.. Also had a second mech antic look... Both have over 30 years experience and both are certified... But basically there idea just replace the modules...all of them the EBCM and PCM and since computer checked out ok but wasn't new.. Buy a new one..
2005 Chevy Silverado 5.3l crew cab work truck ... Been maintained regularly since I bought it in 2005. It has been a good truck other than going through tie rods like a crazy truck
