driving down the street and all of a sudden the truck starts slowing down, when i try to give it some gas it's not getting any. now the truck turns over but wont start
Failed fuel pump, replaced, worked for two days. Turned off, no restart.. All fuses, checked twice by ASE certified mechanic, initially unable to communicate error, then u 1401 error. Changed computer module, had flashed still no start still getting error, exchanged fuel pump, will crank no start.. Changed battery, cleaned all grounds, checked with 2nd scanner same error.. The instrument panel hasn't worked in 2 years.. Is well maintained, recently did tie rods and bearings... The check engine light has been on since the instrument panel went wonky... Been checked on scanner and issues addressed and cleared, always reappears.. One cigarette lighter is fused..the other the fuse is good and it is working, have checked all relays, all fuses.. My mechanic currently hates or loves me depends on how you look at it.. Also had a second mech antic look... Both have over 30 years experience and both are certified... But basically there idea just replace the modules...all of them the EBCM and PCM and since computer checked out ok but wasn't new.. Buy a new one..

2005 Chevy Silverado 5.3l crew cab work truck ... Been maintained regularly since I bought it in 2005. It has been a good truck other than going through tie rods like a crazy truck

Gas gauge goes to empty even with a full tank. Truck starts slowing down then dies. Won't restart.
6.0 engine size, will not start but is fully charged and turns over
Appeared to run out of gas. But now it will not start
Truck stopped at stop sign, would not start back. Checked all fuses and relays at roadside. Everything checked good. Had towed home. Pulled fuel line. No fuel flow thru line. Connected line back, pulled breather tube from intake, used starting fluid, engine started .
fuel pump and fuel filter has been changed. the truck starts and runs for 1 to 2 seconds than shut off. what's next to do?
died in gear while stopped and won't start
Drives great, stop at a light and sometime shut down, will restart in about 10 to 15 minutes. Other times it will start and then shut down in the drive way before pulling out, taking longer to restart. Walk away and then try to restart. Doing a few times a week.
